Google Ads vs. Meta Ads: Which Should You Start With?
Both work — for different reasons. Here's how to decide which platform deserves your first rupee of ad budget.

Google Ads captures demand that already exists
Search campaigns reach people actively typing in what they want right now. This makes Google Ads a strong fit when your customers already know they have the problem you solve and are comparing options — think local services, or purchases people actively research.
Meta Ads creates demand that doesn't exist yet
Facebook and Instagram campaigns interrupt a scroll rather than answer a search. That makes Meta stronger for visually compelling products, impulse-friendly price points, or brand-building where awareness has to come before intent.
A simple way to decide
Ask: does my customer already search for this by name? If yes, start with Google Ads. Is my product something people discover rather than search for? Start with Meta. Many businesses eventually run both — Google for capturing existing intent, Meta for building the audience that will search later.
Either way, fix tracking first
Whichever platform you start with, verify conversion tracking before spending meaningfully. Without it, you're optimizing on guesses — and the platform's own algorithm can't optimize toward outcomes it can't see.
